I’m not always “the first to the party”, sometimes I arrive late. As the joke implies I’m definitely late to the “Fashionnova party”. I’m a young mother of 3 looking to slowly revamp my wardrobe. I was gifted a gift card for Christmas and after watching reviews from Nikki Perkins and The Patricia Bright two of my favorite YouTube vloggers, I knew I had to try this place out to see what all of the hype was about.

First thing that stuck out aside from the clothing designs were the sales! It seems like this place always has some sort of sale going on. For myself, often on a budget or just flat out strapped after bills, or whatever the kids may need this was a plus! There are different tiers of clothing in price range if you browse around long enough you will notice.

The options are very stylish. Granted there are some that are a bit risque’ and “raunch” as Patricia Bright put it and I totally agree.

For myself I embrace much of the style, as a young to middle aged mother who isn’t ready to be “old” and settle into the frump just yet. Proud of my figure after birthing three babies, and seeking out pieces that will compliment it moreso than bury it or hide it. I want to show my personality as well. I can be conservative, however I can be stylish, sensual, and artsy…a natural beauty.

First things first, I needed a new purse something I could carry regularly and not have to worry so much about as my current bag at the time was worn. Randal gifted me with a purse from Charming Charlie while we lived in Wesley Chapel. I LOVED it. It was black and white cross body, my first black and white purse and much needed downgrade from the oversized Mommy bag tote. I fell in love with it. I was able to find something very comparable to my old bag on their site. The purse shaped the rest of my purchases.

The purse. The material isn’t genuine leather. A little bit of edge with the rhinestones. A cross body bucket bag. Simplistic and roomy enough for all of the essentials.

I saw these really cheap sunglasses. Floral and vintage. I live in Florida and Sunglasses are a daily necessity in the sunshine state especially by the summer months when the sun is MERCILESS and BRUTAL. The summer sunshine rays here are as bright and blinding as a supernova. As a mother to young people I seek out sunglasses that are not only unique and stylish but unfortunately are not very $$$ expensive as I KNOW they will find them and destroy them before summer is out. I’ve worn the sunglasses quite a few times they are very comfortable and provide adequate U.V. protection as well.

Next, I settled on seeking out pieces that would match my sunglasses and purse.

Initially I found a black blouse that I figured I could wear to church and to work. But it was too “churchy” and too plain and set me out of budget (for my g.c.) so I removed it. Though it looked well made. I settled on the dahlia off the shoulder bodysuit and flower shop romper. The shipping was fast, my order arrived by 3 business days. Thankfully, there were no mistakes in my order or anything to return or exchange.

The Fit/ The Verdict…

I wish the romper had a little more length to cover my bottom but when ordering I figured it would be perfect for the beach and strolling nearby beach shops. Granted I could not ever wear it to just run errands or pop by the kids school. The romper hugs my curves and is very comfy. It hides my little “Mommy pouch” perfectly! The cotton is soft and not rough. No itchy tags either. I purchased the romper in a small. I am somewhere around a 5-7 in clothing/dress size. My height is approximately 5’7.5” This is a short one so the cupcakes will ease out unfortunately. It hikes up a little in the front as well so make sure you have waxed ladies.

In contrast, the floral bodysuit would be perfect to wear anywhere from brunch, to lunch to dinner or even popping by the kids school. Perfect to pair with a nice pair of jeans or jean shorts, or bermuda shorts. Better suited for high waisted jeans. This bodysuit really hugs your tummy and handles extra tight. I like how the flounce of the neckline complimented my petite breasts. However, I was relieved that the elastic of the off the shoulder lining didn’t have any slippage but provided a snug fit along the curve of my neck and shoulder line/ decollete region. Not every retailer at this price level can achieve this feat, I have had my fair share of troubles and wardrobe malfunctions that would make me not care to bother no matter how much I loved the look.

What I LOVE most? The prices are unbeatable. They are pieces are very stylish and unique. The selection is very massive, I can scroll for a shameful amount of time (that I will not disclose here) just browsing alone as I would shift through racks in a store. They have pieces that you could wear almost anywhere, everywhere and everyday, any occasion as well. They have something for everybody and every body type. But most of all they have clothing that will look amazing on ANY body type and give women the confidence that they look their best. As the saying goes…”When a woman looks good, she feels good.”

I would LOVE to see a brick and mortar Fashionova in Florida on the Southwest coast. I would definitely consider them for wholesale or bulk sales in my Boutique venture.

I will definitely purchase from Fashionnova again and definitely enjoyed my shopping experience.
